Since its incorporation in 1967, the City of Yorba Linda has strived to provide the highest quality public services for the lowest possible cost. One of the things residents love most about Yorba Linda is the semi-rural feel they get from the extensive system of landscaped streets and greenbelts throughout the City. In addition, there are some 100 miles of biking and walking trails crisscrossing the City. The love of horses and the City's commitment to equestrian activities helps set Yorba Linda apart from other communities. The nearby Chino Hills State Park also affords residents the chance to ride in unspoiled wilderness. Consistently recognized for having one of the lowest crime rates in California, Yorba Linda credits its contract with the Brea Police Department for creating a safe and secure environment for its residents and businesses. Serving the spiritual needs of Yorba Linda residents are some 26 churches representing every denomination from Baptist to United Methodist. Yorba Linda is probably best known as a residential community of single-family homes on large lots.
